Stainless steel garbage trolleys

The CDA would acquire 500 stainless steel garbage trolleys to make the federal capital more clean especially on the occasion of festivals ( … Let’s hope steel wont be stolen ) said by Kamran Lashari.

He said renovation of 67 public toilets and construction of 33 new ones was being carried out along with installments of 200 new dustbins in different areas of the Capital city. Lashari said a consultant has been hired for a sanitary landfill project which would be started next month.

He said the construction of compost plant would start soon after the award of a tender to a private company, adding, the design of the plant has been selected by an international competition. He also announced an honorarium for the workers who performed their duties during the Eid days. Director Sewerage and Sanitation Mustafain Kazmi said the design of the weekly bazaar being shifted from G-9 sector has been prepared and the construction of stalls, paths and other facilities would be started soon.

He said a separate cell has been established for renovation and maintenance of public toilets. Kazmi said the Authority had made coordinated arrangements on the occasion of Eidul Azha, saying, the sanitation workers worked swiftly and removed the garbage and animal left over in the shortest possible time.

Director General Environment Mazhar Hussain said the CDA has been maintaining relief camps and field hospitals established for affected people after October 8 earthquake. He said the Authority would try its best to provide civic amenities to every citizen living in the federal capital. DG Environment said the environment wing of the Authority was continuously cooperating with the sanitation directorate to make the city clean.
