Security tightened at European countries consulates in Islamabad

After strong reaction against the publication of offensive and provocative cartoons in a newspaper of Denmark, security has been tightened at the diplomatic premises of Denmark, Norway, France and other European countries in federal capital Islamabad.

Police sources said that they had received information from sensitive agencies that strong reaction was feared against diplomatic premises of western countries.

Additional police force has been deployed at all the roads leading towards diplomatic enclave in federal capital Islamabad. Police has also blocked roads leading to the consulates of Denmark, Norway and France and started body search of all persons going towards consulates premises.
