2 routes for CNG buses

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has sanctioned two routes for CNG buses likely to ply on capital roads soon.

“We have negotiated with a local company interested to launch new CNG bus service in he federal capital with a total of 40 buses,” Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad Ch. Muhammad Ali told APP here Sunday. The modalities are being finalized with another private concern interested to introduce bus service in the capital, he added.

Deputy Commissioner said an open competition would be held for the bidders with no one’s monopoly.

Two routes have been initially determined for this CNG bus service, he said asserting that people would soon experience far better transport facility.

He said directions were also received from Prime Minister Secretariat to facilitate the commuters through best transport service in Capital. “We had expedited the process of negotiation and are hopeful to introduce new transport service in near future at two various routes,” he added.–APP
