FM radio licences
he First part of phase-IV to award FM radio licences for 47 districts of Pakistan accomplished on Wednesday, through an open and transparent bidding.
Bidding was held to award 10 licences on first day in a local hotel here at Islamabad. Bidding for another 37 FM radio licences will commence on Thursday (Today).
The names of cities for which bidding for awarding FM radio licences are: Peshawar, Quetta, Hafizabad, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Pakpattan, Thatha, Ghotki, Badin and Shikarpur.
The highest bid amount of Rs32 million was quoted for Peshawar by M/s Shamal Media Services, Karachi. The successful companies would require to start operation within one year after the award of licences.
