But it had to be constructed for a dire price. Two parks, one right in front of Kalsoom Plaza, and other on the side of Margalla Road would be annihilated. Not to mention the obliteration of the green belt and dozens of trees. I am still not sure, why the under pass was contructed on the this side of the road, when it could have been more appropriate on Quaid-e- Azam highway? Underpasses are always for fast moving traffic!

i’m sure all islamabadis are disturbed with the constructions of new roads all over the city. however i guess it was about time to build them. the traffic is going insane (for islamabad standards) and none of us is used to this. they took out trees from so many greenbelts. the new tall building is going to cause more traffic as well. CDA better replace all that with a lot of new trees. the city is nothing without them. any ideas how long this underpass will take?
