CNG Station in F-6 afire after gas cylinder explosion

ISLAMABAD: A gas cylinder exploded in a Petrol Pump located in F-6 Sector after which fire engulfed, wounding two operators.
The explosion, which occurred due to gas leakage on Friday engulfed the gas compressor area into fire, but luckily the remaining area of the petrol pump remained safe. Fire brigade vehicles promptly arrived on the scene and managed to contain the fire, while the wounded operators, Kamran and Ayaz were shifted to hospital and are reported to be in stable condition. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali also reached the spot and told the journalists that there were absolutely no traces of any sabotage, and it was purely due to technical fault, which has been easily overcome by prompt arrival and action of the fire brigade.

A rumour was spread across Pakistan and a few of my relatives even called me to check if it was an accident or a terrorism attack. Although the accident still remains a tragedy, but all of us in Islamabad are pretty relieved to know that it was not intentional, but rather was accidental.

Such a tragic incident … thanks God there was no expiry incident …!

Well at GAS stations … people sometimes just don’t take care … they would be smoking and all that… oh bhai if you don’t care about yourself at least care about ppl around you why risk your life …!

Smoking in Gas driven cars is utterly dangerous too … one of my dad’s colleague many years back had car on Gas … he sat inside and lit a cigarette … he barely survived from the huge explosion …!

It’s a serious issue …Thanks Ustad Rustam for bringing it up!!!
