Wrong callers!

Hello!
Hello, who is this?
Ahhh…I am fawad and I want to talk to you
But I do not want to talk to you.
No madam please do not get mad I was just sitting in my office and wanted to talk to some one that’s why I called you. Your voice is so sweet.

Hello Mr., please do not waste my and your time too. I am not interested in talking to strangers please do not call again.
This is a conversation between a wrong caller and the victim. It must have happened to you too. Actually, no one has ever been able to stay away from this nuisance.

Once I remember at about 2 A.M, somebody called on my mobile. I was sleeping and could not recognize the number. I received the call. I was not in my senses completely but I remember he said a name that was close to my name. I said yes I am aymen. Who is this? He said I am…..bla bla. I said so how can I help you. Than again, he said something and I could not understand when I asked him twice or thrice that beg your pardon I did not get you. He said I think you were sleeping. I was like yes unfortunately I was, but now you woke me up. He said actually I was working in my office and thought I should talk to someone so will you be my friend. I said sorry sir I am not interested please do not waste my time. I hung up the phone but it did not stop just there, as he was so desperate that he sent text messages later saying, “sorry, it was so stupid of me to call you this late but we can still become friends…..” and all that crap. I did not respond to his messages so he did not bother me for long. I did that because they are looking for a response and if I replied to him, he would have text me again and that I did not want.

Sometimes I think people have so much time to do such crap. Why does this thing matter to them? Are they too alone in the world that they looking for people in strange ways. Sometimes you encounter with funny people. There is a person who text message my sister and ask her…BAJI can you please translate this sentence in to English. Funny is not it? Moreover, some are very annoying. They call you and if you tell them that sorry sir, I am not interested they start barking at you.

Cell phone, a great advantage for all of us becomes a nuisance when we use it to irritate others. You must have had some stories related to it. Do share them as it would be so a great relief to know that I am not the only victim or am I?

I would suggest turn your phone at night on voice mail, that could help.

I have noticed one more peculiar trait. People here do not use voice mail at all. Then if your phone is active and if you don’t pick up once, they call you again. And again , and again. I think one unattended call is enough to ensure that the person might not be able to recieve your call. But no sir, they would like to bully you into picking up the phone.

As for the desperados who want “fraaandship” on mobile, how pathetic can you get…

Never happened to me… probably coz I am a boy/male. Oh! And the women arent that receptive or adventurous either. This is a product of our social structure.

Poondi – is pakistani qaumi khail.
I recommend what auntie 1967 said, turn it on voice mail and make them pay! Also helps turning the phone on silent through the night.
For someone persistent, i would say call your network and ask them to help you block that certain caller (note the time they call and have ’em look the number, im sure such a service is available).

@ Phil, I don’t think it’s a one-way thing. Girls have been known to play these pranks as well and that too in quite a handsome proportion. 1967’s advice is good. Let ’em waste their time with your voice mail. Unless they dig your voice, he/she would get bored pretty soon and move on to the next random number.

    Good Luck!
