Hu Jintao WAS here … !
With the departure of Chinese President Hu Jintao … Islamabad still needs to be washed up of these posters for some next occasion …!
This time the Pak - Cheen Dosti (Pak China Friendship) really did crossed some show shaw … I’ve never seen Islamabad glimmering like this even on 14th August … well YES it was looking lovely and even more than that … after all so much money was invested in .. sorrowfully I couldn’t take any picture of Islamabad’s glimmers at night … but when I went out on Sunday … Isloo showed signs of someone DID came in … OK don’t curse me on this hey someone came if you had to suffer from long queues and waits when ITP stopped you of going further :P
Then everywhere the slogans of Pak China Dosti were upholstered on lamp posts in Urdu, English and Chinese … they were Cool BTW …
The final Good Byes … Good Bye Hu Jintao … have a safe Journey … This one was on the Zero Point bridge …!

I reckon we ‘over-do’ a bit on the posters and the slogans. You don’t see so much of it any where else I assure you!
There was this one HUGE (with a capital H and a U and a G and an E) poster of ‘uncle mushy’, the chinese head and our very own citi banker aka ’shauki jee’… Personally, it looked more like a banner for the latest romantic flick by Syed Noor! And I don’t even watch Lolly flicks!
Ease up on the welcome bit people! You might as well just give them a tour of the entire city with all your formal speeches written on these million banners instead!
Well yah I guess that’s becoming "Identity of Pakistan" too (apart from Centaurus :>) Millions of rupees just go completely wasted on these show off sort of welcomings and goodbyes either for some KSA prince or Chinois president or tony or whoever ..!
When our Govt. will start thinking about poor People of pakistan … Haaaaa.!
