PIMS Tower in the Making

icrc.gifRecently, I posted about the Health Care facitilities situation in the Capital. Well it seems some one in the royal echelons has finally paid heed to this domain.

The first-ever state-of-the-art medical tower with full facilities to cater the need and treatment of visiting VVIPs will be constructed in Islamabad with an estimated cost of Rs2.2 billion.

The government will construct a multi-storeyed medical tower at Islamabad’s Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)which will be completed by mid-2008. It would be a 15-storey tower along with 2 basement for parking.

There will be shopping arcade, general wards, semi-private wards, deluxe and presidential or VVIP floors in this medical tower as all the 500 beds will be available to the private citizens on payment basis.

What remains to be seen is how this dream becomes a reality. I would for one sure want it to come true.

    well the specs as

makes me wonder if another Centaurus is in making ;-)

I personally feel its the management that can make a place best or worst … so should we let all illnesses wait till 2008 comes ?

15 story is not that high but may barely pass as “Tower” the funny thing is when I see little over colored 4 or 5 story buildings named as Bhatti Towers or Malik Towers or something cheap and ridicules like that.
