What do you really expect?

With the temperature consistently staying in negatives every night and it’s literally shiveringly chilly in evenings and nights … What do YOU really expect from Islooittes … they feel like taking shelter in arms of peanuts and hot-ni-a-hot Soup … I’m completely obsessed with these two ESSENTIAL items … !

I love watching this handi cum heater that works … not only towards roasting the peanuts but also providing some warmth to the Mong Phalli wala in the otherwise bitter bone biting coldness …. !

Soup Wala

As in summers, the lemon soda ppl comes out from their hibernation … winters is all about Soup Business … and I must say they do some really good business … and what could be better than this … gulping warm soup to your throat while enjoying the chilly air … Gosh … its lovely and just in 20-25 Rupees … well this particular soup wala in Karachi Company is offering soemthing more too … With every 6 bowls of soup you get ONE free ;-) (he sure knows about business tactics then ;-) )

So What are you doing this evening ….???

Don’t forget that right under your nose the quake affecties are still facing the gusts of cold and snow in their tents.I also used to romantacise the changing weathers but the day i saw on TV a woman narrating her story in tears that how her baby died out of pneumonia due to lack of heating, that same cup of coffee in my hand felt like drinking someones blood.Who was responsible for their helplessness? Be gracious that God has given you the warmth of home, family and carefree life.Life is not as rosy and pleasant for some unfortunate ones. It’s unusually cold this year and lot of our brethren are in dismal conditions and must be looked after so they can survive the hard times.I salute to their courage and patience against all odds.

@reality bite: I second to you in the prayers and guess what it’s not just about EQ affected areas … even in Islamabad if you roam around Peshawar more (and some other points too) … you won’t have a bit of diffiulty in finding soles sleeping on cold hard footpaths with just one chadar on them … in open air … open to taste all bitterness of life not one day but almost every day … a post’s lined up on this too … as per EQ areas are concerned … our dear friend Unaiza, she’s a brave and strong willed girl, collected funds and went in mid dec at few places to arrange shelter houses for many … It may not be sufficient but it’s a step towards positivity and ‘amal’ not mere words …!
