ICT to issue online international driving permits

The Islamabad Capital Territory administration will start issuing online international driving permits within the next three months under the ICT offices automation project executed by the Electronic Government Directorate (EGD), Ministry of Information Technology.
The web portal of the chief commissioner office, deputy commissioner office and attached departments of the ICT administration will also be launched simultaneously.
Project Director informed that the EGD has awarded a contract to KalSoft for the development of software applications and it will also provide automation of all 30 different citizen service oriented functions being performed by the chief commissioner/deputy commissioner’s offices and its attached departments.
The software development work would be completed in 11 months at an estimated cost of Rs 23.9 Million.
Project Director EGD said some of the citizen services include issuance of online domicile certificate, citizen certificate, online arms license, transport route permits, newspaper and printing press certificates, epidemics warnings, price lists of different commodities, etc.
