Islamabad On High Alert

Pakistan’s security agencies have declared a high alert, and security level to code red in Islamabad now. The search operations have been heightened to find four suicide bombers who reportedly remain at large after entering Islamabad to hit high-profile targets. Following the Jan. 26 explosion by a suicide bomber at the Marriott hotel, intelligence officials warned the government that six suicide bombers had reached the city to hit key targets. Two of them participated in the Airport bombing, and the remaining four are yet to be traced. The security personal believe that they have information of more likely suicde bombings in a day or two. I guess probably that’s also the reason for heightened security measures today in the area that I work in with army trucks, police and para military staff all over the place.

Watch out for more action though…
