Garbage On Trail-3

04-03-07_1123.jpgA few days back A for [pine]Apple did a post on poor sense of hygeine and cleanliness among the citizens. Where people seemingly comming from an educated and affluent background are selfish enough not to care about keeping the roads and the public places safe from their garbage. I guess it’s a general attitude among the public here or the lack of awareness, or simply an apathatic behavior towards the environment.

04-03-07_1124.jpgYesterday I hiked up the trail three and captured some snaps of how this natural heritage is being poluted by the garbage of Islooites. The problem is due to two reasons. Firstly the CDA has not put enough waste bins along the trail. There are some dust bins uptill mount happiness, but beyond that there is not even a single garbage can. Secondly the Islamabad’s population (including the Pindiwalas) just don’t seem to care if there are littering on the track. I have captured some snaps for our readers. Notice how garbage is all spread around a sitting area, and right in the middle of the track. If this does not stop it won’t be long that trail -3 would also become the likes of Nalah Laee.

People are supposed to take their garbage with them as logistically placing of, and regularly emptying, bins all along the track is difficult.
