Hike Upto The Higest Point Of Margallas

11-03-07_1144.jpgThis Sunday a few of friends and I went hiking upto the highest point in the Margallas (1604 m). We started from the Islamabad zoo. The weather was awesome and it was drizzling along the way. We reached the top at the SCO out post and rested for a while. At that point it had started raining heavily. After it stopped we head back down. The whole round trip took about 5 hours.

On our way back we found a big crowd of people and students heading up to Pir Sohawa to enjoy the weather. You could see tens of buses from Rawalpindi medical college, Shifa medical college, and Quaid-e-Azam university. Despite the traffic jam, mud slugs and slippery roads, everyone was having great fun. It seemed like everyone up there was in mass hysteria under the influence of great weather.

Islooites are very lucky to have a natural hang out place in the form of Margalla Hills to enjoy their weekends in healthy activites.

With RMC, Shifa and QAU, all together, I bet it must have been *hullar baazi* rather the mass hysteria under the influence of great weather, or maybe that’s synonumous to hullar baazi.

And no doubt over the natural luckiness :>
