Yaadgar e Shuhadaa IT IS
So the national monument of Pakistan we were discussing is now named as Yaadgar e Shuhadaa. Now that the amount mentioned previously id gone with the wind, we are left with appreciating it only, as in case of the white elephant of Islamabad, yes the Convention center.
Honestly, I didn’t knew they intended to do fireworks too on inaugural of this thing, but it looks good in night, isn’t it? I saw it the other night, looked really exuberant :>
Now this image printed by a local paper shows some hilal and sitaray, as PTV narrated other day.
So the nation passes it??? As if we have any way out :>
Still don’t like it. It has an uncomfortable feel, with everything being pointy.
Must be General Sahib’s architect daughter who designed it. :P
It didn’t either fascinate me much.
Yaadgar-e-Shuhadaa: A monument dedicated to all those jawans who gave their life while clearing land encroached by poor homeless squatters to make way for housing societies and golf clubs all over Pakistan!
