Parent’s Plight in Saga that’s Not Ending

A mother kisses the forehead of her daughter, a student of Jamia Hafsa, when she came out of the seminary

Lal Masjid saga started at around 1 PM on Tuesday. Nearly after 82 hours, the most affected are none but the parents and families of those inside.

If we cross examine our society’s economical status and the seminaries of such madressahs, lower income class is the most affected one. Having on average a family of 8-10 individuals, it’s hard to groom every child. Hence, people largely send their kids to madressahs, not for the nourishment of their souls, but also their stomachs.

But a child would remain so for a parent. This is the case here. Eyes are burning with tears for that one kid, who is assumedly, abducted inside. On Wednesday and Thursday, 1200+ students surrendered and came outside. As the pressure increased, media and govt. circles are of opinion that they are using the remaining students as human shield. We can’t have a much of a different opinion too as interviews with awaiting parents revealed that still children and youth is still largely inside. Being brain-washed and pressurized. The ones who are young and still going through brain nourishment stage … they are the HOPE of tomorrow.

A mother is waiting near covered market for her three daughters, aged 5, 9, and 12. An elderly father was shot at foot by Jameya Faridia’s seminaries when he tried to climb in calling for his daughters. And many such stories are spread around the RED SPOT in Islamabad’s Heart. Came mostly from northern and far away areas of pakistan, they are spending sleepless nights in open waiting for their children …!

Bilquis Edhi as well came, and offered to take the injured, died, and the women and children with her. She has been refused too.

Time is moving fast … Besieged cleric is still not willing to help … with his brave brother out while trying to escape, he’s still calling for Jihad. It’s been heard that women teachers are persuading the females, slowly and continuously, not to forget their purpose in life, The Jihad.

I wonder, in awe, can you make a 7 year old understand what Jihad is … !

Let’s pray and hope that the young buds be not crushed here !

this is so saddening what wrong did the young kids do? If ghazi sahab is so sincere in defending the mosque/madrassah like he said he should atleast let the kids go and not keep them against their wishes

Truly no one can jot down the love of parents for their children in words. i guess we can only pray for less damage.

Also this is very true, poor people end up sending their kidz to mosques/madrisa; where they are directly immune to different kind of abuses and exposure to extremism being in a very closed society. I believe many NGOs are working but Govt. and more ppl needs to open up the close group thing and let them help themselves by learning to live with other people in an open society with a right to respect the opinion of other (unless its directly rejection of Quran-e-Pak/Ahadees).

    Truly said ya all…!

Was just listening to Ghazi Rasheed … he was insisting that girls are so willing to stay that even pressurization y us to go won’t work. They won’t just leave …. even on parent’s insistence … I was wondering are they teaching them to disobey parents :S
