Timely completion of 3 underpasses hangs in balance

The timely completion of three underpasses on the 9th Avenue is hanging in balance, as numerous electricity poles have become obstacles in the completion of the project.

The construction of underpasses and roads aimed at facilitating people has continued in the capital. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had awarded contracts to different companies three months ago for the construction of three underpasses on the 9th Avenue. These underpasses were supposed to be completed in a record time of six months.

Electricity poles were not removed even after three months and are now responsible for the delay. Due to the delay in the construction of the underpasses, other projects will also not be completed in time.

FaKeeRa: Intellectual honesty warrants that one acknowledges their source. I think the source of information in this case is a news item that appeared in today’s DT.

The pole obstruction points to lack of foresight necessary for compact planning for such projects.
