Aabpara Market still deserted

Aabpara Market, one of the busiest business centers in Islamabad, has lost its usual hustle and bustle after the July 27 suicide bombing in which 17 people were killed and over 40 injured.

The market has an estimated 1,000 shops, but there are no customers. Previously, the market remained closed for over a week after the security forces and seminary students of Lal Masjid were locked into a gun battle.
