Smoke Smoke Smoke – NOT

Sadly, shrines in Pakistan are famous for harboring junkies; some smoking drugs in one corner and some Mast in dhamaal …!

Islamabad is home of two well-known shrines, Barii Imam and Golra … the picture above is taken in one of these shrines, the Barri Imam. A person is smoking not one, not two, rather FOUR cigarettes … I wonder if they are puffed ones – they must be … !

Smoking at public places is legally banned in Pakistan … still we see people around smoking openly, whether they be in vans, restaurants, parks, and even in offices. Are we loosing the ethical values, with no civic sense in sight – where are we really going??

Studies say Tobacco is the second major cause of death in the world. Even hundreds of thousands of people who have never smoked die each year from diseases caused by breathing second hand tobacco smoke. So next time YOU pick up the cigarette & if you are selfless – think about people around you for once at least.

Smoking is incredibly addictive. Imo, the half measures like banning smoking here or there do not achieve much, presuming the goal is fewer people smoking. The smokers know its incredibly harmful yet fail to break free of the addiction and they continue to smoke. For addicts, its all or nothing, nearly all cigarette smokers are completely addicted. Banning tobacco cultivation, import, export, sales, and possession, in addition to banning smoking itself would achieve something. Basically treat tobacco as a controlled substance like herion.

The picture is just too awesome. I mean I have never seen someone smoke 4 at a time, and that too using the ‘fist techique’ which is known to char the throat more than any other. Man, this dude must be high. I feel sorry for him.

Smoking is everywhere. I really don’t care about smokers and their habits until and unless they are in public and making a waste of other people’s lives as well as theirs.

To all the non smokers “Bundar/bandri kya jaanay adrak ka sawaad”.
To all my smoker friends, puff your worries away and leave this world a little more in chaos.Live like a king, act like a king and leave this world with a cigarette in your mouth.
Go after the drug addicts please and leave the Marlboro Man alone in his wilderness of the west.
