Of the highway …

I was coming to Islamabad from Airport Road, via Islamabad Highway, last evening. You might remember the two traffic-signals between Airport Chowk and Faizabad. These two just diminish the purpose of the highway. You feel like you are on a service road that has signals every kilometer. At rush hours, you are like going mad on the engineer, or whosoever, who proposed these. A flyover for each would have been a lot better option if you need to give way, as it doesn’t make sense to deploy traffic-signals on U-turns and that too on a HIGHWAY. Or we can have a normal cross over bridge on the road. That will do the job.

Yes it would require finances to do that, but that is how it should be. And this is a one time expense as compared to the fuel and time that is, and will be, continuously waisted on these two, in addition to the frustration one suffers.

But who cares …

Ya, no one one cares, that’s why every road in islamabad is under construction and expansion.
