long lines at the pump!
When you thought of Islamabad a couple of years back, you thought of a sleepy little town, with an elitist population, tucked away in a corner of the country with little or no care in the world.
Then things changed, and the sleepy little town started booming. Now you travel here and you find all the trappings of an upcoming modern city! Flyovers, underpasses, construction everywhere, filled shopping centers, and finally long lines at the pumps!
Today, i had to run my car on petrol, because the four pumps i visited, had lines of upto 20 cars deep waiting for CNG!!
Islamabad is truly waking up!
Islamabad has always been and still is a dream city for any Pakistani and even non pakistani to live in. Due to its natural landscape, peace, excellent weather and location of all major consulates and business makes it an attractive choice. Now all of them want a piece of this city from rich businessesmen/women, bureaucrats, politicians to religious fundamentals who wanted to invade the city and impose their dark views on inhabitants.
As they say, with more population comes more problems.
Islamabad…
-sigh-
I lovvvee…!
Everytime I visit…it just draws me to it…
Yes, There was power outage in few areas, yesterday. Same happened with me. Lets drive our cars on liquid feul too. lol
but I love the Old Islamabad …
no hustle bustle like Karachi and Lahore …
I miss my quiet old Islamabad with no more than 5 cars at each signal.
