Allah o Akbar

Some people’s idea of fun is plain sick!!

While being out tonight, i was browsing through a used bookshop in Ayub Market (F-8) when this guy, wearing all black, ran up to the doorway. With arms outstretched and something in his hands he screamed, in the most terrifying tone i have ever heard, “Allah o Akbar”.

Before any of in the shop had a chance to react, he lowered his arms and ran away. It was a couple of seconds before i realized i had just witnessed a precursor to a suicide bombing. Only, that it was done as a prank or a dare (thankfully).

Moments later, a car was screeching away with boys laughing at the top of their voices.

Some people… are just plain sick!

If you call these pranksters sick what would you call those people that carry this act out in reality, in thae name of God or was it for 24 virgins? I forget!

I believe it’s more sick to make fun of something associated with a religion than acts of bombings and fun by those guys because you don’t sound less pathetic than those militants who explode themselves.

if you don’t follow a religion then it doesn’t mean you start mocking it. Don’t try be desi greet Wilders.

Well here is one way of getting the turban wearing people out of the cracks.

You bet I will make fun. Not only fun but much more given the opportunity.

It is exactly people like you who are totally oblivious of reality, ignornat of their own religion and yet professing blind faith, that have helped create these monsters in the first place.

Too bad for us the prophet is no more. I bet he would also laugh, no in fact he would cry, not only at the actions of these SOB’s but at your comprehension of Islam too.

bozz: the people who do this act are heinous but they do it for something they have been led to believe in. that gives some sort of justifiability because they have a cause. still they are sick (as far as general society goes, however, dont forget suicide attacks have been used in wars and those very people are lauded as heroes in their nation’s histories. Even a couple of our nishan-e-haider awardees were suiciders, as well as kamakazi pilots of japan and a similar squad of the german third reich)

the people who pull this off as a prank, have no justifiable reason, and hence are even sicker!

"Mansoor – No ammount of reasoning justifies these monkey brains. And never many wrongs make a thing right.

While I do not endorse these childish pranks, they are after all only pranks. No one dies and no one gets hurt. Furthermore who are we to lift a finger at them when they are only mimicking what their society teaches them.

It is not about how high you wear your pajama or how often you go to the masjid but what kind of a person you are.

The point is to move on from picking on small details and tackling bigger more important issues.

Bozz, you actually belong to those kind of people who think that being abusive in the name of freedom is something intellectual. Offcourse people like you feel something good when make "Yo-Mama" jokes while in reality they don’t know they come out as fools and retards in front of others.

    ignornat of their own religion

a person who make fun of a religion and even endorse it doesn’t sound credible to call other ignorant.

Too bad for us the prophet is no more. I bet he would also laugh, no in fact he would cry,

Irony is that people like you existed int the era of Muhammad(SAW) too who used to mock Islam in the name of freedom. Surah Kausar was revealed in the reply of people like you who used to mock religion at that time.

My concept of religion might not be perfect but thankfully it’s not as sick and ignorant like yours that I start mocking about something associated with a religion and ask,"Oh it was 72 virgins or 24". This is something I have experienced among ignorant Americans who themselves have no idea about their own religion but make fun of Islam by ridiculing terms like "72 virgin","Jehadists" stc. since so called intellectuals like you have always been fed by those guys so you have no idea what do you talk about. Something which I feel pitty about.

You bet I will make fun. Not only fun but much more given the opportunity.

and I will tempt you to do it more. History is filled characters like you who made fun of the religion from one way or another and what happened with them is also in history. I would not mind to read another name in the book. ;)

Turbans, Shawls, Sindhi caps to Peshawari chappals, etc all are OUR culture, tradition and identity – Please do not connect them with terrorism as terrorism has existed since long time in human history in many forms.

As for the writer/witness – you/we need to take action right then on the spot. You could have tried to"make an attempt" to stop him or catch him or note down the number on the license plate of the vehicle or something.

But next time let us all reading this be vigilant and ready to REACT swiftly. Isloo is not that huge, it must be some rich teenagers playing fools. Lets stop such activity. It our duty.

    I agree with you Bozz.
Nothing, absolutely nothing justifies killing innocents in the name of any cause… ask any Iraqi that at this point.
Also, there is no point in engaging Adnan Siddiqui in a rational argument…it is a waste of time :)

    in a rational argument

Jahan Ara, I am sure your definition of "Rational Argument" would be as funny and lame as Bush’s definition of "Terrorism" and "Fundamentalism". ;)
