Pakistan is 61 Years OLD

Day started with killings.

The state is not very different from the one we witnessed last year. Into 62nd year yet so fragile.

Happy Independence Day.

Though I feel bad for even saying so. We are not Free yet.

As Pakistan enters into the 62nd year, I pray in words of Faiz for my beloved home.

Pakistan is getting old, but thanks to the circumstances, Pakistan is not growing old…

The 62nd year of Pakistan started off with load shedding (at least in my part of the world). Came to know about some blast in Lahore. Also came to know that $ has touched 75 odd rupees probably because of capital flight and much more….
If any body thinks i am celebrating …. i am not …. at least with the prevailing situation i don’t feel like celebrating.

I celebrated the Independence Day. Not traditionally by putting up decorations and lighting candles. I celebrated in my heart for the motherland that Allah has given us, that gives us an identity in the world. Yes there are many problems with my country. But that should be considered as an opportunity to correct them. I know if i start trying, i can make a huge difference, and so can everybody.
