Yep these are all our hungry stomach "Ramzan Delicacies", : ),
Yep also the Devil is probably thinking at the moment that
"" When I will come out so I can start my mission " SINS "",

Question: R we still doing SINS during Ramadan even the DEVIL is not here?

Well, any way I would like to share an Quaranic Ayat Al-Alaq with translation in English, If anyone would like to have an Urdu Translation just let me know..

Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-

Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
    3 اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ

Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-

He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-

Taught man that which he knew not.

Day, but man doth transgress all bounds,

In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.

Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).

    Seest thou one who forbids-

A votary when he (turns) to pray?

Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-

    Or enjoins Righteousness?

Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?

Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?

Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-

    A lying, sinful forelock!

Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades):
    18 سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ

We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)!

Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah.!

Yes, indeed the sight of these chatkharas does make ones eyes pop out, mouth water, nostrils flare and stomach gurgle with delight. Quite honestly Iftari is my motivation for fasting.
I sometime think that if ever I started a religion of my own I would have in it a month during which the deciples will have IFTARI every evening without going through the rigmarole of fasting.
Please no Fatwas!! At least, unlike many including our leaders, I am not a hypocrite.

  3. wkhang on September 10th, 2008 @ 2:01 pm

I thought the DEVIL was gone !! Finally you have showed your real face…
Any way dude GOOD LUCK with your own religion..

  4. khanum on September 10th, 2008 @ 9:28 pm

    oye hoye!!
there should be a ban for putting up such pics in ramzaan! :p

  5. kabirdas on September 10th, 2008 @ 10:08 pm

    @ wkhang on September 10th.

Thanks for your remarks. No offence taken for your poor judgement and choice of words. You would have hit the nail on the head if you had called me a ‘devils advocate’ instead of a devil. It just so happens that I always drink upstream of the heard.
Wouldn’t like to get into an argument to preserve the sanctity of the month of Ramazan. Take care and enjoy Iftari as much as I do.

    @ khanum on September 10th.

What for?? And thus kill the joy of Ramazan for sinners like me. No way. No Iftari, no Faka Kashi for me :-)

  6. kabirdas on September 10th, 2008 @ 10:13 pm

Ref my above comments. Sorry, for ‘heard’ please read ‘herd’. Fortunately my typos are now decreasing as the month of Ramazan progresses.

  7. A for [pine]Apple (asmamirza) on September 11th, 2008 @ 12:10 am

    wkhang Nice … jazak Allah!

kabirdas But without fasting there’s gona be no charm of iftar. Its fast that makes the Iftar scene so superb .. think on it ;)

khanum Oooooh …. makes the fast yummylicious =)

kabirdas & wkhang ah han …!

  8. kabirdas on September 11th, 2008 @ 5:39 am

    @ A for [pine]Apple (asmamirza) on September 11th.
You say: wkhang Nice … jazak Allah!
I say: Yak na shud do shud — Alhamdo lillah!
You say: kabirdas But without fasting there’s gona be no charm of iftar. Its fast that makes the Iftar scene so superb .. think on it ;)
I say: And you thought I wouldn’t know it? For crying out loud I was just kidding. Had I thought so I would have had Iftari all the year round without fasting:-)
You say: khanum Oooooh …. makes the fast yummylicious =)
I say: It indeed does. However, I would like to let you know, without breaking your heart, that I don’t take this type of Iftari for health reasons. My Iftari is very bland and simple just like me :-)
You say: kabirdas & wkhang ah han …!
I say: And what does that mean in the language of Homo Sapiens ??

I am sorry if during the course of this discussion I have offended any one. That was not my intention as you may know now. I just need some space in this suffocating atmosphere to breathe bit easy in quest of happiness.

In the end Asam Mirza I have a request to make and be grateful to you if you can oblige. You guys often use various symbols at the end of your sentences to express your emotions. I am not familier with these symbols except for the smile sign :-). Can you please educate me what all these symbols are and what emotions do they express??

Take care and enjoy your Iftari not forgetting the poor souls who can’t enjoy Iftari for health or for FINANCIAL reasons. That’s what Ramzan is all about!!! Ain’t it??

  9. wkhang on September 11th, 2008 @ 2:25 pm

    @ kabirdas,

do not worry about the comment or "Dua" came from "A for [pine]Apple" towerds me, when you do some thing good you get a "dua" from all of us,

But I still can do for you, May Allah guide us all towerds a positive path, amin.

    TC

  10. kabirdas on September 12th, 2008 @ 12:43 am

Yes, may Allah guide us all towards Sarat ul Mustakeem and let good sense prevail not only in the month of Ramazan but all the year round.
By the way I pay much more attention to Hakook ul Abaad than Hakook ul Allah for the simple reason that violation of Hakook ul Allah is forgiveable whereas violation of Hakook ul Abaad is not.

  11. wkhang on September 12th, 2008 @ 3:02 pm

Yep Agreed 100% with you !!

  12. kabirdas on September 12th, 2008 @ 6:04 pm

Now it seems we have sorted out all the issues relating to IFTARI. What are we going to do next? Logically speaking I would say we should take up this matter of Sahri now. I believe Sahri can also be great fun for some. A for (pine) Apple would you be so kind, as usual, and brief us about this aspect of Ramadan also. What delicasies are there to enjoy at Sahri?

  13. A for [pine]Apple (asmamirza) on September 12th, 2008 @ 7:21 pm

    kabirdas

You say: kabirdas & wkhang ah han …!

    It means ah han =)

You guys often use various symbols at the end of your sentences to express your emotions. I am not familiar with these symbols except for the smile sign :-). Can you please educate me what all these symbols are and what emotions do they express??

Oh yeah :) is the simplistic smile … ;) is the naughty wink, :P is something silly .. naughtily … =\ or :\ is a frown kind of thing you make to show some annoyance, irritation, frustration … things like this. :@ is anger and :D is a huge smile … I hope many of the smileys are covered ‘:’ and ‘=’ stands for eyes of course :P

    And

as for sehri … all i can think of are parathas and eggs … Talha can brief you very well on sehri im sure :)

  14. Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on September 12th, 2008 @ 11:43 pm

these are Muslims too but they experienced a different kind of Iftari.

  15. kabirdas on September 12th, 2008 @ 11:59 pm

    A for [pine]Apple (asmamirza) on September 12th.

@ It means ah han =)
I will remember that and add it to my vocabulary :-)

I am grteful to you for briefing me about the symbols. One lives and learns provided one is inquisitive.

The other day somebody mentioned things like Jalabi with milk and Phenis with milk etc. I was infatuated with such exotic food items. Paratha and eggs are great as well for me. Further info in this regard by Talha will be most welcome. I don’t mind knowing what have I been missing in life.
    Thanks all the same.

  16. kabirdas on September 13th, 2008 @ 12:22 am

@ Adnan Siddiqi (adnansiddiqi) on September 12th.

An Iftari of KHAK O KHOON. It is part of the infamous DEAL our rulers made to come into power which we have got to undo if we are to survive as a nation. They are having this kind of Iftari because we are too busy having our sumptious Iftari @ @ @

    Editors of IMB:

Are you bogged down because of Ramadan or nothing else is hppening in this God forsaken village except Iftari ??????

Koi verani see verani hay. IMB ko dekh kar ghar yaad aya :)

heheh … check in few mins :>

  19. wkhang on September 16th, 2008 @ 1:31 am

    Good Catch Bro,

Thats why I requested few years back that let me also jump into this blog as Author emmm but ignored : (, seriously we need more posts for this blog.

I have tons of new ideas to share but I think I have to get an degre in some kind of Blogers Education…..

  20. kabirdas on September 16th, 2008 @ 5:14 am

    @ wkhang on September 16th.
Agree with you. We need more posts like KMB and more subscribers also like KMB. I think more subscribers will follow more posts. More posts can be brought in by inducting more eiditors (writers) who may be called associate editors if you will.
I could contribute as well but I wouldn’t. I would like to keep my specialisation confined to agitation rather than adminstration:-)

    Editors of IMB:
Kindly look into inducting or taking help from other residents of Islamabad to have more posts. Or invite their proposals and ideas for posts.
The other day I proposed a post to Talha via an email. It may not have been a good idea. But an acknowledgement of it with (or without) thanks would have encourged me to send some more ideas some of which may have been found useful.
Response of the editors to these comments will be very much appreciated.

Your latest post is a good one.

  21. A for [pine]Apple (asmamirza) on September 16th, 2008 @ 7:23 am

@wkhang: last time I checked you were not living in Islamabad, which is a strict metroblog requirement.

@kabirdas: indeed we do. apologies for not replying back to the suggestion you made but we did discuss it, talha and I. Lets hope!

  22. wkhang on September 16th, 2008 @ 4:38 pm

Agreed with you, but I am in and out and my one house is in Isb and the other is out of country. Well I do not think that this is a big problem for Author to write about some thing about or for Isb while he is in Isb for few months or so.

    @ wkhang on September 19th.

Quite honestly I don’t see the rationale of your posting the addresses of various Islamic sites here. These sites are good and I know many more like these on the internet. I visit them off and on. When I come to visit this particular site I don’t come to get a dose of religion. I have already got an overdose of religion. I come to see what is going around in Islamabad. I will appreciate if you can confine your comments to the subject under discussion please.

  26. wkhang on September 20th, 2008 @ 3:43 am

    @ Kabir,
hey its not specific for you, that was for everyone, if you already aware of these links or sites its not mean that all of us as well, well the subject is "Ramadan Delicacies" right ? dont you find any relation/link with the Ramadan subject when you visited that site ?, if the answer is yes than I guess its an useful link for those who always try to find some help regarding Ramadan etc : ).

Dude dont get irritate with these links be Positive and if some one overdosed you about religion its not my fault.

Well any way I will try to more confine next time :P.

  27. kabirdas on September 20th, 2008 @ 9:15 pm

    @ wkhang
Your recommended sites do have a certain relvance with the holy month of Ramadan. I will not deny that. However, they don’t have any relevance to the delicasies of Ramadan as such. You can’t deny that.
It will be more appropriate and greatly appreciate if you can recommend some sites exclusively dealing with the delcasies of Ramadan. I would love to visit them :-)
BTW I appreciate your zeal for Islam. Keep it up and at the same time do your own GHOR-O-FIKAR as well as enjoined in Qoran.

  28. wkhang on September 21st, 2008 @ 4:11 am
