Still their belief and faith in God is much stronger than the ones living in cozy houses. They take their misery as fait accompli in this world and hope they would be rewarded by the same God in the next world. Every so often I want to recite to them the following Rubai of Omer Khayyam:

Some for the Glories of This World and some
Sigh for the Prophet's Paradise to come;
Ah, take the Cash and let the Credit go,
Nor heed the rumble of a distant Drum!

But would they listen. No! No way! Such is the dose of religion as an opium for the masses!!!!!!!

I was going near the newly build bridge rather underpass near bluearea the other day, at like 2am and there was this lone guy sitting under it trying to start a fire. It really got me thinking I know its been said a milion times but still. We are just never thankful that we sleep at night never thinking what or how would we have breakfast. All day we don't have to worry about where will I sleep tonight, or what will I eat, will I have work tomorrow? Will I survive the cold? For us usually its little things, but for others its a lot. We are so used to it now that we take our wants as our needs and take our needs for granted when we always get them.

Sir, Hallelelujah indeed.

The river is deep the river is wide Hallelujah
Milk and honey on the other side Hallelujah

These are the original words of this soul song. If you like to honour the Kabir Das for some odd reason you may feel free to add:

KB is sweet and KB is cute Hallelujah.

It rhymes very well with the rest of the song. Dont you think so.

Reminds me of an old soul song: Michael row the boat ashore Hallelujah
In this case one couplet of it I would like to modify to say:

Islamabad weather is chilly and cold Hallelujah
Chilly for the body but not for the soul Hallelujah [I hope]
