And the long walks along Margalla Road,spotting herds of piggies on the other side; the perfectly ‘Graded’ sectors, the mid rib of Jinnah Avenue differentiating F from G; the marble-gray, cold & still mornings when you wake up to the distant, muffled sound of a moving vehicle and chirping birds; where the unit of distance is minutes and not km’s………… and when you see more guards in the streets than the residents; you just know you are in Islamabad, the beautiful.

Sad to hear of the incident. Hats off to your mother who stopped to help the child as well as the helpless creature. Do salute her on my behalf. (She might think you have turned into a good son *giggles*).

Yes it is unfortunate that nobody is ready to take a little time out to help someone. Whether it is on the roads or elsewhere.

If this post were about Lahore and you were living there, this post would have been a lot longer and nastier. I found Islamabad a very peaceful place and yes, I did notice that people here are more indifferent.
