Springtime

Here’s a couple of pictures I took early morn:

Image032

As you can see in the first picture, there’s a little mosquito sitting on the white flower. I asked him how his night had been, and he told me that it was wonderful. He was resting after a good night bloodsucking and had nearly digested all that he had consumed, and that’s quite obvious since he doesn’t appear to be distended. He told me that he particularly enjoyed the Grade 20, 21, and 22 blood. I’m not quite sure what he meant by that… maybe someone can elaborate?

I wish I could have recorded the sounds of the birds early morning. It was certainly a pleasure to walk around the block under the large shady trees listening to the sounds of the morning birds and watching the flowers blooming at the sides of the roads. Nothing like getting up in the morning for a nice healthy walk, especially when you’re in Islamabad!

He’s supposed to be huge. He’s an Islamabadi mosquito :]

I agree with Asma that it is too big for a mosquito. But who knows, maybe it’s one of those mutated kinds (as in sci fi movies) or maybe it has some genetic disability. But alas, we would never know for sure. *giggles*

Lovely pics crazymonkey. Keep them coming. :-)

    Nice post :)

I too went for a walk this morning and observed some interesting subjects. But I can’t help but digress over the fact that summer will be here soon and it will be too hot for me to walk. Till then, I’d recommend everyone to go out this spring and baske in some early morning freshness.

Did I mention what a nice post this was?

It obviously is not a mosquito. It is some kind of a spider.
I believe all grade 20 and above have blue blood which is superior to the run of the mill red blood.

An excellent post. Keep it up crazymonkey.

@kabirdas – It could be something else but not a spider. Spiders don’t have elongated bodies and long feelers. It might be looking a bit different in the picture but at the spot it sure looked like a moskeeter.

@mutecs91 – Straight from the mobile phone camera garma garam ;P
