Plan to install security cameras in Islamabad

The government has decided to fix automatic security cameras in the capital city, Islamabad to keep an eye on reprobates and other subversive activities.

The project which would cost one thousand five hundred million rupees would help improve and strengthen the security arrangements in the capital.

This was revealed at a presentation given by a British Firm to the members of the Capital Development Authority Board, at CDA Headquarters in Islamabad.

The security cameras will be installed at all the major squires and other sensitive and important places to avert any untoward incident. In total one hundred eighty cameras would be installed

The briefing was told that the security cameras will be highly sophisticated in technology and would be able to read the number plates of the vehicles passing through these points.

They would also help traffic police to check the over-speeding vehicles.
